Dedicated Micros Managed Storage Unit (MSU) is a high capacity
external storage device that provides increased video storage
capacity for Dedicated Micros DVRs equipped with External SATA
Connectors.
Using a combination of continuous monitoring and environmental
control ensures that disks are individually monitored and cooled
to ensure optimum operating conditions. Intelligent power control
ensures that disks are only in operation when access is required.
This proactive approach to storage management considerably extends
disk life, ensuring that system up-time is maximized and
maintenance costs minimized.
Automatic detection from the DVR means installation of the MSU
could not be simpler, while health reporting and field serviceable
drives ensure that maintenance can be planned and undertaken with
minimum system disruption.
